Born in Tampa, Florida and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia I’ve always thought I was going to be living the city life. The week before graduating with a bachelor’s degree from University of West Georgia, I ended up meeting the partners of High Adventure Company. After talking, they  invited me to work hospitality at the lodge they manage in Pierre, South Dakota. Thinking it would be only one season of work to help save money for Medical School, I instantly fell in love with the outdoors.

 

From there I have been lucky to have worked in South Dakota, Nebraska, Alabama, and South Africa! Learning the hospitality life in South Africa was one of the coolest experiences, but this was the place that introduced me to photography. What’s a better place to learn to take photos?
